About
The Muranow neighborhood in Warsaw was once a thriving Jewish cultural center. During World War II it became the Warsaw Ghetto, and after the war it was rebuilt atop the rubble of its own destruction. Today it is green and residential, yet its past lingers. Some residents claim Jewish ghosts roam the streets at night; others see the ghosts as a metaphor for buried memory, culture, and loss.
