The narrative of "Showdown at Williams Creek" begins with Kootenai Brown on trial for murder in Montana, tracing his transition from an Irish British army officer to a fortune seeker in the 1860s at Williams Creek, BC, where he faces betrayal and survival.

The movie is set in the late 1800s in the Northwest. It's a true story based on the life of Kootenai Brown. The film was nominated for Best Overall Sound and Best Sound Editing at the 1991 Genie Awards. Tom Burlinson known for The Man From Snowy River (1982), Phar Lap (1983), and Return to Snowy River Part II, The Legend Continues (1988). Raymond Burr is known for Rear Window (1954) and Ironside (1967-1975).
