Game thieves, diamond smugglers and big game hunters endanger the animals in the African bush. But Dr. Tracy and his daughter Paula defy the constant danger.
A little orphan girl named Jenny hides out in the compound hoping that she will be adopted by Dr. Tracy. Marsh explains that he can't adopt her and escorts her back to Nogoro to the orphanage. However, their journey is halted by the news of a killer lioness and a cub that are being hunted by a professional hunter. Dr. Tracy and Jenny set out to stop him and to protect the lions.
Dr. Tracy releases Clarence into the wild in an attempt to teach him to survive on his own, while a poacher hunts the lion. The two learn a valuable lesson about survival.
A writer of children's books comes to stay at the compound looking for adventure in Africa. She thinks that life at the compound is too calm and decides to visit a cheetah whose cub was removed from her side earlier in the day. The cheetah escapes and goes in search of her cub, who is sleeping with Jenny.
Dr. Tracy tries to help a hunter whose pet cheetah has escaped. The wife has released the cheetah but later regrets it and goes to look for the animal herself. A decision which could prove fatal.
A man feels that his son is not tough enough and decides to take him for a safari in the roughest part of the bush. However, when they get separated, it's the father whose manhood is tested.
A conversation between Dr. Tracy and a woman from the orphanage gives Jenny the mistaken idea that she is being sent back. She escapes with Judy and a lion cub to her secret treehouse. However, when the mother lioness discovers that her cub is gone from the center, she goes after the culprit in a rage.
Joe Wonder, an American rancher, fences off a space of land that he has purchased just outside of the compound property. Daktari suspects that the man wants to charge hunters to hunt on his property. Unfortunately, Marsh can think of no way to stop the man. Jenny decides to take matters into her own hands and goes over to Joe's property to cut down the fences.
A young storyteller, banished from his village, is saved by Dr. Tracy after he is attacked by a leopard. He is brought back to the compound where is treated for his injuries. Soon he reveals that he was banished and his need to prove himself a man in the wilderness.
