Grandpa thinks that Christmas is a magical time. Everyone agrees. Mum is even trying to write a song about the Magic of Christmas. But Great Aunt Loretta declares that all this talk of "magic" is silly. // Dad has decided to clear out the attic and has brought down several boxes of old and broken toys which he believes need throwing out. But Grandpa, Jason and Jemima will have none of it!

Mum and Dad have been having a bit of a spring clean and Jason and Jemima have been helping. Mum pops out to buy some new curtains, and Dad goes to the bike shop, leaving Grandpa and the children in the care of Bubbles the Babysitter. // Miss Smiley is holding a musical concert in her café. Lots of people in Sunnysands are taking part and the Mason family are planning to sing a fantastic, close-harmony song. All is going well until Great Aunt Loretta arrives.

Lenora the Explorer, famous for her photographs of rare Birds, Beasts and Bugs, has come to Sunnysands in search of the Blue Big-Beaked Bonglebird. She turns up in the Mason's garden, where Mum invites her to set up camp. // Mum has been busy working on a new hobby. She gives Grandpa and Jason a surprise present - a big box of homemade games and tricks, all on a Captain Dumbletwit theme. Mum has even made little character figures of Captain Dumbletwit.
4. No Help For Alvin // Mr. Mentor's Marvelicious Inventing Club

Cousin Alvin is looking after the toyshop whilst Mr Whoops goes to visit his mother. Grandpa is sure that Alvin will need some help but Alvin insists that he can manage on his own. // Jason is feeling very miserable - he has chicken pox and is covered in itchy spots. What is worse, he is going to miss Mr Mentor's Inventing Club. Jemima plans to invent something "marvelicious" and Grandpa decides she'll need his help.

It's a very hot day and Dora has come round to play with Jason. They are having a tea party with Jemima's old dolls when Great Aunt Loretta arrives in a mood of great excitement. // Mr Liker Biker's young nephew Eryk has come to Sunnysands for the weekend and Mr Liker Biker wants to entertain him. The trouble is, Eryk doesn't appear to like anything that his uncle suggests.

Jason, Jemima and Grandpa are busy helping Mum with her latest hobby - making collages - when they receive a phone call from Mr Mentor the Inventor. He has decided to give up inventing. // Miss Smiley has organised a School for Pirates at her café and invited lots of local children to take part. Would-be pirate, Horatio Heave Ho is going to be their pirate teacher.
