About

A fashionable teenaged girl, G, forms a musical group with four like-minded friends, LOVE, ANGEL, MUSIC, and BABY. They live in Harajuku, a fantastical place where almost anything can happen, and often does. Together the girls can sing and dance up a storm, with one tiny problem... they can't seem to finish a concert. The girls are certainly talented and well-practiced enough to do it, but this simple goal is made exceptionally hard by a growing assortment of villains, aliens, and random Harajuku-style catastrophes that foil their plans. The other big obstacle to their goal is their well-meaning but semi-incompetent manager, RUDIE. Rudie is enthusiastic and dedicated, but he's not one to pay attention to detail when booking the band, which leads to comical chaos. He knows he's semi-incompetent, but that means he's also semi-COMPETENT, right? That must count for something, right? Right? Now the girls spend every week preparing for a gig, and having to stop whatever obstacle is keeping them from actually performing, be it an alien invasion, the audience seeming to have disappeared, or one of the girls being made queen of an underground society of Mole People. They always work together to overcome whatever is keeping them from starting a concert. Unfortunately, as of yet they have never been able to leap over that next hurdle: finishing one. Or, really, performing much beyond the first note. But that's progress! So they keep trying! And as long as they're together, they'll never STOP trying.
