Forest ranger Rick Marshall and his two kids, Will and Holly, are on a routine expedition when they're swept into an alternate universe known as the Land of the Lost. There, they must learn to survive in a strange new world inhabited by strange monkey people, dangerous giant lizard-like creatures, and massive earthlike dinosaurs while learning to master mysterious Pylons, which may be the key to finding a way home.
Cha-Ka accidentally discovers the primary power source of the Land of the Lost and the pylons. However, Cha-Ka and the Marshalls almost become new fuel for it.
In an attempt to escape from the Land of the Lost, Zarn experiments with the gravitational force tearing the world apart. Rick and Will try to reason with him and find themselves face-to-face with his deadly diabolical robot.
Rick and Will discover a pylon with a time doorway back to their home, but it only opens when the three moons line up. Will the pylon express be the Marshall's way home?
