Zoo - Season 1

A mystery illness leaves Topaz the kangaroo without a hop and the vets scratching their heads. Jealous of all the attention, hapless gorilla and self-appointed leader of the zoo, Jürgen conjures up an illness in need of treatment, too. // Neil the wimpy lion is under pressure from his overbearing mother-in-law to 'man up'. After some terrible diet advice from vegetarian gorilla Jürgen, Neil the carnivore decides to give up meat to get buff - with disastrous consequences.

After being hand-reared, Yoyo the penguin thinks he's a human. A misfit in both human and penguin worlds, all hope seems lost and then all his feathers start to fall out. But could this actually be a blessing in disguise for our oddball penguin? // Mysterious monsters are spotted in Flamingo Lagoon and keeper Pete is on a mission to prove to a disbelieving zoo that the rumours are true. Meanwhile, over on gorilla island, Jürgen and the boys are having to deal with an invasion of their own.

It's the day of the stock take at the zoo and all the animals need to be counted. As a group of tiny frogs use this as an opportunity to escape, rumour spreads that these miniscule amphibians may actually be deadly. Can the zoo ever be safe again? // Who is the most popular animal at the zoo? There's only one way to find out - by counting which cuddly toy sells the most in the gift shop of course! The animals go head to head in the ultimate talent show to impress the public and up their sales.

Naomi the Grey Gibbon and Gambira the Orang Utan are not happy with having to share an island. So when Naomi disappears one day, Gambira can't believe her luck. That is until Jurgen the gorilla decides he's moving in. // With their constant yelling and arguing, the baboons are giving the entire zoo a headache. That is until keeper Kate stumbles upon an unexpected trick to restore the peace - but will it work on those pesky primates?

The arrival of two new lion cubs at the zoo has whipped all the residents into a frenzy of cuteness. All that is, except their terrified father Neil and jealous gorilla Jürgen. Can Jürgen 'get cute' in time to win the public back from the lions? // The army is called in to help with some major renovations at the zoo. Self appointed leader, Jürgen the gorilla immediately assumes they are there to build his new luxury gymnasium, but miniature megalomaniac monkey Brutus has other ideas

The flamingos are moving to a new enclosure! Not wanting to miss out, Jurgen wants to move too. As he explores what's on offer in the other animal enclosures, the keepers race against the clock to move X flamboyant flamingos before the zoo opens. // In this special episode, silverback gorilla Jürgen introduces us to the human faces of the zoo, talking us through all the fascinating jobs done by the keepers and the vets. Or at least that's what he's supposed to do…

The hunt is on for a new mascot. A popular, photogenic animal to publicise the Zoo. Jurgen the gorilla obviously thinks it should be him, but the series narrator meets all the residents before deciding who will be the prestigious 'Face of the Zoo'. // Who is the most dangerous animal at the zoo? Is it the zebra, the tortoise or the big cats? Rumour has it, it's the birds but silverback gorilla Jurgen is unconvinced - until he has a run in with Ivan the speckled pigeon – just don't call him tiny.

Every animal in the Zoo has a name except the newest arrival, a baby male giraffe. And everyone seems to have an opinion on what his name should be, except him. So as the names are pulled out of a hat to decide - will he get the one he hopes for? // Rumours are spreading around the Zoo that a mystery animal is due to arrive at any minute, but who could it be? Geoffrey begins to suspect it could be a new silverback gorilla to replace Jürgen! But will he be proved right?

Male Zebra Stripy McButtface has a problem with his feet - his overgrown hooves mean he can't run to heard his females. As they go looking elsewhere for a four legged male to chase them around, will Stripy let the vets close enough to treat him? // The Zoo's animals love learning new tricks, but football obsessed otters Willie and Wilby aren't interested at all. Will keeper Lee ever be able to teach them to play ball? And what is the embarrassing 'trick' Jürgen's been hiding since he was a boy?
