This book is as much about the package - the whimsical cover depicting an enchanting Parisian candy shop with glossy embossed lettering, the edges of the book block dyed a brilliant Hermes orange - as about the 95 recipes for classic French confections, each lovingly photographed. This will appeal as much to the home candy maker, who wants new formulas for French candies as to the collector of pretty things.
To top it off, this project comes from the venerable (and much-loved!) A La Mere de Famille sweet shops in Paris, founded in 1761, and is authored by the chief chocolatier.
