After the Virus

Henry never realized he was special. Sure, he's an engineer who served his country, but when the virus hit, he found himself alone in a nearly empty world. That's the key, though: nearly empty. There's no one left who has the technical know-how to make the world run again…except for Henry. For humanity to survive, he will have to rebuild society out of the motley crew of survivors. It might be impossible, but at the same time, Henry has always loved a challenge.

When the world ended, Henry certainly had his hands full keeping his clan alive. After all, it's no easy task bringing electricity back to the world, much less raising animals, expanding the farm, and everything in between. Still, given enough time, he could do it all. There's just one problem. An insurgent group has sprung up, and they're determined to kill him and all the other men so they can steal away women for breeding purposes. And that is something Henry cannot abide.
