How I Built a Magic Empire

I have been reborn from an advanced techno-magic world into a world where magic is still in its infancy. In this new world I have the body of a young baron and my entire worldly possessions are one village-a village surrounded by monsters and hostile aristocrats on the fringes of a young, rapidly expanding empire. The other thing I have, though, is knowledge beyond what this world has dreamt of, and nothing will stop me from building my own magic empire!

Our magic crystals are growing. People arrive in the village faster than we can make room for them, but at least they find plenty to do here-from building the village to guarding the border against attacks by bandits and monsters. And not just any monsters, but monsters that haven't been seen in this neighborhood before. Is that a coincidence? Or are rumors of something going on outside the borders of the Empire not just rumors? Whatever's behind them, I'll deal with it!

Rumors of a mysterious union of principalities are rife, the wild lands are restless, and Savino's rapid growth is drawing envious eyes all around the Novgorod Empire. But, frankly, I'm more worried about: installing mains water * building new dormitories * crop sowing * gathering pearls and monster hides * "Kate, what do the red asterisks in the list mean?" "Those things needed doing yesterday."

A lot happened on my visit to the capital of the Novgorod Empire, but my main business is still in the village that I now call home. Scratch out "village". It's a town already and things aren't stopping there. The wild lands have been on my mind. It's time to do something about them. There's only twenty kilometers from us to Los Santos and sooner or later we'll have to deal with the stalkers (read: bandits) who hang out there. I don't like putting things off. And who knows, while I'm there maybe I'll find out more about the "Center"?
