Nile Adventures

Renni and Mahu are brothers, but they are complete opposites. When Mahu hatches a plot to rob the tomb of a long-dead general in the Valley of the Kings, Renni is swept into the crime to help his family. But taking the general's heart scarab sets a much greater chain of events into motion, which are governed by dark and mysterious powers. Will the brothers and their friend Balaal manage to return it before Anubis, the god of death, comes to collect their souls? Or will they, and the general, be cast into the Great Darkness forever?

Renni, Mahu and Balaal are enjoying the summer after thwarting the evil vizier, Paser, and returning the heart scarab to General Tatia. When new adventures call, the children set off up the flooded Nile to the mystical city of Shedet to see its glorious temples dedicated to Sobek, the crocodile-headed god. But things are not as they appear, and the wicked never rest for long...

After foiling the plot against Prince Khaem, Renni hopes life will return to normal. Except, when Balaal's father sends a message calling her home, Renni must face the reality that the lives of him and his friends are no longer entwined. As the group splits onto their separate paths, darker forces move in the shadows, intent on claiming the world as their own.
