Serendipity Omegaverse

Omegas are prized. Omegas are valuable. Omegas are desired. Or so the Council says. I've been suppressing my inherent Omega nature since the damn Council member delivered the news of my designation in the spring of my senior year of high school. I had dreams. I had travel plans. One stupid packet changed all of it-mostly. Four years later, I'm finally letting the Council match me with a pack. One night to determine the rest of my life. I'm skeptical until Logan makes the night fun, Carter makes it unforgettable, and Jude makes it intriguing. The Council pairing me with them is a dream come true. But what if they don't like me when I'm finally off my suppressors and learning how to be an Omega? What if I'm a terrible Omega? What if they decide to back out? We have sixty days. By day fifteen, I can't imagine living without them. But will they still want me even after my heat?

Bonding is cherished. Bonding is revered. Bonding is life-altering. Or so the Council says. While bonding was certainly eventful for me, it's been anything but the precious occasion pedaled by the Unified Council. But then, most Omegas know the name of the Alpha they share a bond with, and they certainly haven't been suffering from an abnormally aggressive form of bond sickness. Three years later, and given few options to curb the disease, I agree to attend one of the Council's ritzy Matching Galas in the hope of finding a pack that doesn't mind a tarnished Omega. It's a last-ditch effort to keep the sickness at bay, but I'm pessimistic at best. At least, until the very first person I run into is the Alpha that's plagued my every thought. By some miracle, I'm handed the match of my dreams, and yet it feels tenuous. Because while we grow closer and it seems like fate might finally be giving me something good, the sickness claws deeper. I may have found the Alpha whose scar marks my body just in time to lose him. Permanently.

Matching is pivotal. Matching is momentous. Matching is sacred. Or so the Council says. Watching the dynamic between my mother and fathers has stripped the rose-colored glasses from me, though. I've never wanted to match. And I certainly never wanted to attend one of the glitzy galas the Council uses to woo Omegas. At least, not until an absolute nightmare of a heat a couple of months ago and the fallout of it. So now I have one night that will dictate my future. I'm determined to make the most of it. Running into the Alpha I haven't stopped thinking about since my time at the Haven last fall is a dream come true. Until I realized he was involved with the man that broke my heart four years ago. I'm staring at a match that has heartbreak written all over it. Between the cold, aloof Alpha from the Italian mafia, the Beta that has more than a passing history with me, and a mother who's convinced she knows better than the Council on who I should end up with, something is going to break. Unfortunately, no matter which way I look at it, the only reasonable answer is that it'll be me. And I don't think I'll be able to put myself back together this time.
